My second review. This is Alter’s first take on Nanoha Takamachi. Since she was made in 2006, she’s not the best Alter has produced. They also made a Fate Testarossa to go with her. Alter and GSC made both Nanoha and Fate that year. I have done a review for GSC’s version of Fate a while back. Go to my figure reviews section to find it. This figure does not belong to me, it belongs to NanoZero. She let me borrow it for a review, so I hope you enjoy it!
As you see, she is holding Raising Heart Buster Mode seen in Nanoha A’s episode 7. I have to say, Alter sculpted and painted it well. The gem inside glows if you put it in light.
She has a very calm face despite that she’s in battle. Alter did good with the sculpting of her twin tails and her bangs. No paint hiccups at all.
Her outfit was well sculpted.
Smooth sculpt on the skirt.
Her wings are very thin and light. They fall off very easily. Must be made of plastic.
A close up of her device.
The base is nothing special, just an oval shaped clear light blue base.
The back.
She looks good at this angle. Looks like she is about to release a Divine Buster.
The back of her head is nice and smooth.
DIVINE BUSTER!!!
Overall, I thought this figure was decent. 3 Nanoha figures were made in 2006. This one, GSC’s, and Kotobukiya’s. This one shows the more gentle side of Nanoha while the others show her determination. I wouldn’t own this figure myself, it was nice to just see it in person. Thanks to NanoZero who let me review her.
More reviews to come in the future.

Figure Review: 1/8 Fate Testarossa by Good Smile Company

Since its my first figure review, I decided to start it off with my first PVC, Fate Testarossa by GSC! She’s from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s. The lighting’s not so great, but it will improve eventually. I got her in the spring of 2008. I couldn’t find Alter’s Fate, so I got this one. She was released way back in November of 2006. She was sculpted by Kazushi Kawasaki. I have to say, this is a good alternative to Alter’s. There’s not many reviews for her, so enjoy this one.
Her pose is rather plain, but I like it. It’s like she’s walking.
The very calm pose from the back.
Sculpt on the arms are decent. So are on the hands.
The paint on the belt is a little rough. The skirt is nicely painted.
Her shoes were nicely sculpted.
What I didn’t like about this figure is that they didn’t get Zamber Form right. There was supposed to be a shape at the center of it.
Her ribbons were nicely done, little paint hiccups on her bangs. Expected from an old figure.
I really like the magical circle base. Wish they’d do this with every Nanoha figure.
Her cape is removable. here you can see the sculpt on the front of it.
You can see her shoulders better.
Huge difference without the cape.
She looks kinda weird with her shoulders exposed.
Her butt isn’t as revealing as Alter’s.
I liked this figure for its calm and simple pose. There were a few flaws, but overall she was good for one of Good Smile’s old figures. They also made a Nanoha. Fate would’ve looked great next to her, but I don’t have her. Its a pretty decent figure, not too bad not too great either. I recommend this figure to any Fate or Nanoha fan.
I’ll be doing more reviews in the near future, so I hope you’ll look forward to them.
